About Me

My name is Michelle Barefield and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, and a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).  I graduated from  Miller-Motte Technical College in Columbus, GA and have been a therapist since 2014.   I am excited to provide you with exceptional massage therapy solutions for your every need.  I am trained in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Pregnancy Massage, and Oncology Massage.  In addition, I enjoy working with elderly clients as well as corporate employees and will be happy to provide mobile services. 

Prior to attending massage therapy school, I worked in the Insurance Industry in Corporate America for over 20 years. I also served in the United States Army for 8 years.  I chose a career in massage therapy simply because I strongly believe in the healing power of touch.  I believe my diverse background makes me an excellent choice in helping you meet your massage goals!

 
My Therapy by Michelle was created with your every need and comfort in mind.  First and foremost, I became a massage therapist because I have a firm belief in and respect for the power of human touch and healing.  It is my intention that each massage be professional, thoughtful and respectful and born out of the idea that on a base level, human touch should begin with the intent to promote kindness.
